What is the “Category Sponsor Ads” feature?

As a means to generate more non-dues revenue from your online membership directory, you can now include advertisements for “category sponsors” at the top of a categorical listing.

What happens when somebody clicks on a sponsor’s advertisement?

When a visitor to your online membership directory clicks on a sponsor’s advertisement, the sponsor’s website will open in a new window. CC-Assist will keep track of this visit to the member’s website in the member’s total online referral’s count.

How do I add a Category Sponsored Advertisement?

If you have not downloaded and installed Edition 197 or later of CC-Assist 8.0, you must do that first.

In the Members Online Administration module of CC-Assist 8.0, there is a page named “Category Sponsor Ads.” From this page, open the business category to which you would like to add a sponsored advertisement and from within the “Category Ads” form create the new advertisement.

You can include as many sponsored advertisements for a category as you wish. If you include more than one advertisement for a category, CC-Assist will keep track of displaying each advertisement an equal number of times.
